Alan Davies, editor of The Urbanist blog, was awarded the TCPA’s Sir James Barrett Memorial Medal for 2017 at our Annual General Meeting on 23rd November 2017. Alan has made an invaluable contribution to the level of public debate around transport and land use planning issues, projects and project proposals, and common misconceptions. Alan gave a presentation on employment location and the journey to work mode share in metropolitan Melbourne.
After a long innings as President, Horst (Oz) Kayak stood down and was subsequently elected as Vice President. Jean-Francois Delvaen retired as Vice President and was elected as a general committee member. Marianne Richards was elected as President. The Secretary (Peter Hill) and Treasurer (Ray Walford) were re-elected to their respective positions. Other committee members elected were: Mohammed Fahim Zafar, Russell Thompson and David Wilson.
